Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown toenails are a very common problem that many people deal with. The condition can develop when the corner or side of your nail grows into nearby flesh, causing pain and discomfort which may lead to an infection in some instances

The symptoms usually don’t bother you at first but if left untreated could become serious – leading not only to daily living challenges like the inability to walk without feeling significant sharp pains from walking across certain surfaces either barefoot outside on pavement driveways etc., but they’ll also make going about everyday activities difficult such as wearing shoes while working out because all those rigorous exercise sessions will start taking their toll sooner than expected.

Our podiatrist can provide surgical and non-surgical treatments to your ingrown toenail so that you can get back on your feet, faster and pain-free.

The sooner you get in touch with our specialists, the better! We recommend seeing a Podiatrist immediately if:

-After multiple courses of oral antibiotics fail to improve your condition or it’s getting worse; there is severe infection present and newly growing skin (hypergranulation tissue) starting over an ingrown nail;

  • You are unable to put weight on the toe, or the ingrown toenail is impacting your day-to-day activities and quality of life
  • You see no signs of improvement after a week of home treatments
  • If you have diabetes, poor circulation, are currently undergoing chemotherapy, or have any medical conditions that can cause poor wound healing or an increased risk of infection.
